Well folks, this is the big one! Time to pull out all stops, and we need your assistance.
Tashi Choling Dharma Foundation are holding a raffle this year to raise funds for the beautiful and precious Dorje Ling Retreat Centre. For 30 years Dorje Ling has been lovingly managed and cared for by a small but incredibly dedicated team of volunteers, with support from people around the world. Many of the buildings are in their original condition, and we find we are at a critical point and need to upgrade facilities, particularly accommodation.Our aim is to be able to provide accommodation facilities so that we can host retreats and courses in all of Tasmania's beautiful seasons.As a non-profit organisation, we need to fundraise to generate the energy needed for this project. And this is where you come in!
Money raised from this raffle will support:
- the building of a number of small units/huts which will double our current sleeping capacity and provide year round accommodation
- the upgrade of "The Villa" as the perfect long term solo retreat cabin
- the upgrade of existing retreat huts to a winter standard to house retreatants year round
We have some absolutely fantastic prizes on offer (see below for the full list), with the major prize being a Carbon offset sightseeing flight for 2 to Antarctica!! This really is an opportunity of a lifetime.
