A Dollar A Day.
During Rinpoche’s last visit he spoke about a fundraising campaign that he and his students in Canada have put into action, “A Dollar a Day”. It is a simple idea, each of us who are able to put aside a dollar a day to contribute to upgrading our facilities at Dorje Ling so that we can enjoy comfortable retreats and teachings for many years to come. A dollar a day is very little for most of us, less than a coffee or sweet treat, much less than a movie and nothing compared to an evening meal at a restaurant. It’s so easy! And the benefits are immeasurable.
Money from this campaign will be going towards the building fund for Dorje Ling. This will assist us to realise plans to upgrade the kitchen, toilet and shower facilities, improve the water and solar systems, as well as making other improvements to cater for retreatants well into the future.
So please join Rinpoche and us in putting aside A Dollar a Day!

NEW KITCHEN/DINING COMPLEX coming soon
During the Easter 2006 retreat, Guy unveiled the plans for a brand new kitchen/dining/facilities complex on the top of the hill where the barn now is, facing the sun. There will be lots of room inside, and an al-fresco dining area outside. Rinpoche also spoke of future long-term plans for a new Gompa. If you have any building expertise or fundraising ideas, the Committee would love to hear from you.
